About Our Brands

What brands do you carry? We carry Bassett, Palliser, and Parker House — three brands chosen for quality, selection, and value. Bassett and Palliser are fully custom-order. Parker House offers a strong curated selection of finished pieces at accessible price points.

Are Bassett and Palliser made in North America? Yes. Bassett manufactures in Virginia and North Carolina. Palliser is based in Winnipeg, Canada. Both are built to order with extensive customization options. Parker House is California-based and sources internationally.

How do the three brands differ? Bassett is our most versatile brand — strong across sofas, sectionals, and occasional furniture at a range of price points. Palliser specializes in leather and motion furniture, including some of the best power recliners we carry. Parker House offers a curated selection of entertainment and accent furniture; a good choice if you're looking for quality pieces at accessible price points without the custom lead time.

Custom Orders

What does "custom order" mean? It means your piece is built after you order it — your choice of frame, fabric or leather, finish, and configuration. You're not choosing from warehouse inventory; you're specifying exactly what you want. Most Bassett and Palliser pieces on our floor are available in hundreds of fabric and leather options.

How long does a custom order take? Typically 8 to 12 weeks from order to delivery. Lead times vary by brand and current production schedules — we'll give you an accurate estimate at the time of purchase.

Can I see fabric samples before I order? Yes. We have extensive fabric and leather sample books in the showroom. We recommend visiting in person to feel the materials before committing, especially for leather grades and performance fabrics.

Delivery

Do you deliver? Yes, we deliver throughout the Baltimore-Washington metro area. Delivery includes white-glove service — we bring the piece inside, place it in your room, and remove all packaging. Delivery fees vary by distance and piece size.

How do I know if my furniture will fit through the door? Measure your doorways, hallways, and any tight turns between the entrance and the room. Key measurements: door width, door height, hallway width, and ceiling height for tall pieces. Bring your measurements to the showroom — we can help you assess before you order.

Hours & Location

Where are you located and what are your hours? We're at 1125 Cromwell Bridge Rd, Towson, MD 21286 — sharing a building with The Big Screen Store. Hours: Monday through Saturday 11am–7pm, Sunday 12pm–5pm. Free parking. Call 410-346-2400.

Can I buy furniture online? We don't sell online. Custom furniture is a considered purchase — fabric feel, cushion firmness, scale in person — and we'd rather you make the right decision than a fast one. Come see us.

 

Services

Do you offer in-store design consultation? Yes — complimentary, no obligation. Bring your room measurements, paint swatches, or photos of your space and our team will help you plan the right pieces. No appointment needed; walk-ins welcome.

Do you offer leather furniture? Yes — we have one of the largest leather selections in the Baltimore area. Top-grain and full-grain leathers across multiple manufacturers, with full customization on color and grade for most pieces.

Do you offer financing? Yes — through our retail finance partners. Terms and qualifications vary; call us at 410-346-2400 or ask in the showroom and we'll walk you through the options.

Do you offer furniture repair? We don't perform repairs in the showroom, but we have a network of trusted local repair professionals we can connect you with. If your piece is under manufacturer warranty, call us at 410-346-2400 — we'll help facilitate the claim.

Are you the same company as The Big Screen Store? Same family ownership, separate businesses sharing the same Towson building. The Big Screen Store sells Samsung TVs; The Sofa Store sells custom furniture. If you're shopping for both, plan a single visit.
